Norske Skog Boyer Mill, located in the Derwent Valley in Tasmania, commenced production in 1941 and has been operating continuously for 72 years. Known as one of Tasmania’s iconic employers, the Boyer Mill has a long history of continuous improvement, and produced its 12 millionth tonne of paper in July 2012.

We have a sustainable business platform and revenue of $250 million per annum. We have an annual production capacity of around 280,000 tonnes of newsprint and improved newsprint, and supply 40% of Australia’s newsprint needs.

In partnership with our community, Adelaide City Council and architectural firm Hassell have designed a state-of-the-art City Library to function as a vibrant and responsive community hub.

The design principle "one element, many forms" has guided the creation of multi-functional spaces and the selection of joinery and furniture that serve multiple purposes, thus being sustainable into the future and increasing functional capacity. The City Library is situated in the heart of Adelaide's CBD and will open early in 2014.
