FSC Friday 2013

FSC Friday is our annual celebration of responsible forestry and this year it will take place on Friday the 27th of September! Anybody can get involved in FSC Friday and the celebrations are international!

FSC Friday 2013On FSC Friday, people are invited to consider the wood and paper products they buy and look for the FSC logo, the mark of responsible forestry. Events related to FSC Friday will take place around the world with organisations and supporters promoting the FSC logo and what it stands for. Each year, schools, businesses, youth groups and many more get involved.

What is involved in holding an FSC Friday event?

FSC Friday is all about creating awareness of FSC and how important responsible forest management is.

How you choose to celebrate this day is entirely up to you, there are no limits. You could plant a tree, wear green, change your email signature, send an email to friends, family, colleagues and clients making them aware of the benefits of FSC, hold a brunch or a lunch, do a fundraiser hold a raffle and the list goes on.

In past years, FSC certified businesses have held internal and external awareness-raising events, individuals have used their social media profiles to share FSC stories, groups have entered FSC competitions, learnt about forests and FSC and forest owners/managers have held open days!
