ForestFit update at Tumut
Back in early march, CEO Damian Paull headed to Tumut for a AFCA Board dinner
The dinner was held to provide an opportunity to touch base with members recently impacted by the bushfires.
While in Tumut the Board also met with the Forest Fit industry Reference Group which Damian Paull attended as a representative for FSC.
The meet up was to discuss the draft Training Framework - a guide for the development of the training model, content and materials which will be piloted later this year. The input provided by the IRG is an important step to ensure participants are provided with the right training, that meets forest contracting business needs and the delivery time frames are realistic for for our sector and small businesses.
In March also, ForestFit Project Manager, Sue Kennedy returned to her position in the NSW Education Department following her resignation. Sue Kennedy has been congratulated for her efforts on the ForsestFit project and achievements including establishing the Industry reference Group.
Dionne Oslen, has now been appointed the ForestFit Project Manager.
