Release of Australia's first FSC National Standard

An Australian certification standard for responsible forestry that is jointlyagreed by industry, environment and community interests.

FSC Australia are pleased to announce the long-awaited release of the Australian FSC National Forest Stewardship Standard. Developed by Australians for Australian conditions, the standard is a first for Australia in that it is brought environmental, social, and industry stakeholders together to agree on what sustainable forestry looks like in this country.

The standard provides practical advice and guidance for Australian FSC certified forest managers on how to meet FSC's requirements for sustainable forest management. Making it easier to know that they are meeting FSC's requirements

Providing certainty and stability for FSC certified forest managers, while protecting high conservation values, sacred sites, Indigenous and local community rights, among others.
