Status of Centralised National Risk Assessment for Australia
26th October 2016: To date, FSC International has developed a Centralised National Risk Assessment for Australia against Controlled Wood Categories 1 (Illegality), 2 (Traditional and Human Rights), 4 (Conversion) and 5 (Genetically Modified Trees).
FSC International will soon initiate development of a Centralised National Risk Assessment for Category 3 (High Conservation Values). For more information, click here.
Once completed for all five categories and consulted on nationally (dates to be determined), the CNRA will be used by certificate holders instead of the National Risk Assessment developed to the previous Standard (FSC-STD-40-005 V2-1) until FSC Australia’s revised National Risk Assessment is in place. This conforms to FSC International’s ‘Hierarchy of Risk Assessments’ outlined in FSC-STD-40-005 V3-0 (page 8, pictured).
